HEALTHY LIVING WITH JANICE - ANOTHER BENEFIT TO DRINKING COFFEE?

It seems like every week there’s a new study that comes out about the benefits of drinking coffee. Recently, Rutgers University scientists found that mice who had been exposed to UV rays, then fed caffeine, developed 27% fewer tumors than the mice who weren’t fed the caffeine.

Mice who exercised on a wheel had 35% fewer tumors, but mice who both were fed the caffeine and exercised had 62% fewer tumors. The tumors that did occur were much smaller.

This may or may not extrapolate to humans. No one knows yet, and it certainly doesn’t mean you should stop using sunscreen if you exercise and drink coffee. However, you may want to start exercising if you don’t already and grab a cup of coffee after you work out.
